Unlike his previous film, this film did not have any big budget. The budget for this movie is INR 25 million. The song "Chalti Hai Deewani" was shot in Bangkok, Song "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" was shot in Singapore while the other songs were shot in India. The soundtrack of the film became a success and went on to win a National Film Award for Best Music Director and a Filmfare Award for Best Background Score.
