However it turned out to be an unexpected hit with both critics and the public alike. It got rave reviews from almost all leading newspapers in India. Taran Adarsh of indiaFM gave 4/5 stars saying "Compared to its sensational music score by Vishal Bhardwaj, Jeet Ganguly's lyrics are highly disappointing". Rohit Khilnani of IndiaFM gave 4/5 stars saying "For the record, this is not the first time that Vishal Bhardwaj has experimented with the soundtracks. The music tracks of Maqbool (2003), Omkara (2006) and 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) were also different. Once again, he does an exceptional job with his innovative musical arrangements." Mayank Shekhar of Hindustan Times gave 4/5 stars saying "Producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finally delivered a film for grown-ups. cfa1e77820
